Messi was born as a legend

Former Barcelona star Brazilian, Rivaldo, says Lionel Messi has all the requirements to become a legendary player and in between the rows of great players throughout history.

Rivaldo, who is now playing at the club Bunyodkor, Uzbekistan, contributed to bring Barcelona won 2 titles, Spanish Primera Liga champions and Copa del Rey in 1998, and together with Brazil winning the World Cup 2002 in Korea-Japan.

He also never won the world's best players (FIFA World Player of the Year) and the best players of Europe (Ballon d `Or) in 1999.

"He (Messi) is still very young. Seeing the achievements that have been achieved, talent and age, he was born to become a legendary player," said Rivaldo told Sport.

"Technically and physically he is very special, that's what makes him so extraordinary. He can not be stopped. It is to be a legendary player, someone needs to win the World Cup, but that's relative. (Alfredo) In Stefano and (Johan) Cruyff was never World Cup-winning side, but both are among two of the three best players of all time, "Rivaldo added.
