Scholes contract was extended for one year

Manchester United seems still need experienced players like Paul Scholes. They would extend the contract 35-year-old player for one year or until June 2011.

Scholes long contract was due to expire in June 2010. However, the appearance of former England player had remained consistent in his old age was somewhat older, it seems that makes Ferguson wants to keep it.

With Darren Fletcher MU guard midfield, Scholes had continued to show a satisfactory performance. In fact, he more often fitted as a starter rather than the two other reliable midfielder, Michael Carrick and Anderson.

In addition, the presence of Scholes also provides a positive influence for other players. Him performance which remains stable and consistent at a young age that no longer is certainly an inspiration for players younger age.
